Overview:
Kanemtrade is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Products and Inventory Intern to assist with managing our product listings and inventory. This internship offers hands-on experience with product management, data tracking, and inventory control in a dynamic ecommerce environment. You will work closely with our product and logistics teams to ensure product availability, accurate listings, and efficient inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Listing Management:
    • Assist in creating, updating, and optimizing product listings on the platform.
    • Ensure product information, descriptions, and images are accurate and engaging.
  2. Inventory Tracking and Control:
    • Monitor inventory levels to help prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely product restocking.
  3. Data Entry and Accuracy:
    • Input product data accurately and maintain organized records.
    • Perform regular audits to verify inventory counts and product data integrity.
  4. Product Categorization and Organization:
    • Support proper categorization and tagging of products to enhance customer experience.
    • Assist in managing product attributes, filtering options, and recommendations for improved searchability.
  5. Inventory Analytics and Reporting:
    • Track key metrics, such as stock levels, turnover rates, and product performance.
    • Prepare and analyze reports to help make informed decisions on product restocking and phase-outs.
  6. Supplier and Vendor Coordination:
    • Communicate with suppliers to update product availability and coordinate delivery timelines.
    • Address product-related inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.
  7. Quality Control and Assurance:
    • Support quality control checks to ensure product consistency and customer satisfaction.
    • Assist in managing returns and exchanges to keep inventory records accurate.
  8. Market Research and Trend Analysis:
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential products.
    • Provide recommendations for new product additions based on market demand.
  9. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the logistics and customer service teams to ensure seamless product flow.
    • Coordinate with marketing for promotional strategies and product launches.
  10. Inventory Management Tools and Software:
    • Utilize inventory management systems to track products and optimize stock levels.
    • Collaborate with the IT team to suggest improvements to inventory tools and software.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of ecommerce platforms and product management is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data tracking and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
